These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Cohorted (the “Service”), operated by [Company legal name] (“Cohorted,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Cohorted is a strategy and preparation tool for prospective Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) applicants. It helps you track your profile and target schools, surfaces sourced program information, generates personalized next-step recommendations, helps you find clinical and related experience opportunities, and provides a workshop for developing your own application essays.
Cohorted is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for PTCAS, APTA, CAPTE, or any DPT program. Cohorted is not the official application system — you must still apply through each program’s own official channels (including PTCAS, where applicable). Always verify program requirements, deadlines, and statistics directly with the program before relying on them for an application decision.
Cohorted does not calculate, display, or imply a probability or “chance” of admission to any program. Program facts shown to students are sourced and admin-reviewed before publication; profile-completeness and priority indicators describe your own data, not your odds of acceptance. Nothing in the Service is admissions, legal, financial, or medical advice.
Certain features use a third-party AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) to assist you:
AI-generated output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything the Service surfaces before relying on it.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [support/legal contact email] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You own the content you create in Cohorted — your profile information, logged experiences, stories, and essay drafts. We do not claim ownership of your essays or personal narrative, and we do not use your content to train our own AI models.
Program requirements, deadlines, statistics, and rankings, and Opportunities listings, are sourced from official and secondary sources and reviewed by Cohorted administrators, but are provided “as is” and may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. Always confirm time-sensitive or high-stakes information (deadlines especially) directly with the school or organization.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or created risk or legal exposure for Cohorted or other users.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cohorted will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
